Fall Into Kindness is a time at Northwest’s Child and Aaron’s Place where we stop for a month and fully shift our focus to thinking of others. Below are some of the activities that we have planned for this Fall Into Kindness 2020 time.

This year with so many small businesses and nonprofits hit particularly hard by COVID-19, we decided to have our entire Fall into Kindness theme be about supporting other nonprofits in our community. Please read about who we chose & how you can help!

  1. Bridge Ministries- Care packages We are holding a drive benefiting Bridge Ministries’ clients. They have created a new “care package” delivery program during COVID-19.  Many of their disabled clients are not able to leave the house and these packages provide them with some snacks, cheer, and a smile. Item ideas that we are collecting are: markers, coloring books, word searches, snacks, candy, canned soup, applesauce, trail mix, canned food and boxed mixes.

  2. Diaper Drive for Westside Baby We are excited to partner with Westside Baby by holding a baby diaper drive! They provide these vital supplies to families in need.
They need baby diapers of all sizes as well as baby wipes. To learn more about Westside Baby please visit their website at https://westsidebaby.org/
  3. Candy for Heroes This year we are bringing back one of our favorite ways to give back to our heroes. A couple years ago we donated candy to our troops through Operation Gratitude. This year we have signed up again to donate candy to our local heroes and first responders through Operation Gratitude. You can send in candy before or after Halloween to be delivered to our local heroes.

Please drop off any donated items at your NWC/AP site and we will be sure to get it to the right places!
